The Success and Failure of International Business English Negotiation: Based on Hofstede's Cultural Dimension Perspective

With the increasingly frequent international economic and trade exchanges, use of Business English in transnational exchanges has become more popular valued. However, negotiations, differences language expression under different cultural backgrounds have a major obstacle negotiation process. Based on Hofstede's dimension theory through typical examples expressions, this paper explored how cross-cultural are reflected found that affects success or failure negotiations by influencing decision-making mechanisms, identity cognition, semantic understanding, risk perception, goal pursuit parties. Then further, giving corresponding suggestions strategies, proposing an application framework whole process context, aiming to help practitioners cope with conflict achieve negotiations. At end paper, theoretical contributions practical discussed, as well direction for future research.
